What is Interprofessional Education?
The American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA)
defines Interprofessional Education (IPE) as “an activity that occurs when two or more professions learn about, from, and with each other to enable effective collaboration and improve outcomes for individuals and families whom we serve.”
Who Can Participate? Undergraduate and Graduate students enrolled in any Graduate College of Education programs or related majors (e.g., CAD, Social Work), Nutrition and Dietetics are invited to participate. Registration is limited.
What is the Agenda? The agenda includes an introduction to IPE and inclusive practices. Students will engage in facilitated discussion of a case-study of older adults and young children with complex needs.
