The Institute for Civic & Community Engagement (ICCE) has selected the San Francisco Disability Business Alliance as recipient of this year’s (2023) Community Partnership Award for Campus Collaboration. SPED lecturer, Peter DeHaas serves as the Director of the Business Alliance.

This Award recognizes the work of our community partners and one organization that demonstrates excellence in contributing to student learning outcomes and increased faculty awareness each year. Enhancing faculty knowledge of community needs as well as their impact on course content is equally important.

The ICCE is pleased to recognize your efforts in your contributions to support diversity and inclusion, service learning and our students at SF State. SF State has a long-standing tradition of service to the community and we, at the Institute for Civic & Community Engagement (ICCE), are committed to living that legacy by supporting faculty, lecturer faculty, students, and community partners who reflect the mission of the California State University system. We are grateful for our partners who actively engage and serve as a bridge between SF State and the surrounding San Francisco communities. We strive to emphasize partnerships that value and respect the assets and diversity of both, so thank you again for your work.

On behalf of ICCE, thank you for your contributions to SF State and helping create change in your community.
