Corrine Aramburo
Dr. Corrine Aramburo is a lecturer in the Extensive Support Needs program in the Department of Special Education. Her primary teaching responsibilities include courses related to equity and diversity in K-12 schools, research methods, and environmental design, assessment, and instruction for students with extensive support needs. In addition to her teaching role, she is the fieldwork coordinator and a supervisor for the Extensive Support Needs program. Her main areas of academic interest focus on administrative leadership for students with extensive support needs and their teachers, special education teacher attrition, and special education administration. Dr. Aramburo recently completed her doctoral studies in the joint doctorate program at San Francisco State University and the University of California, Berkeley. Her dissertation: Navigating Crises: A Study of Special Education Administrative Problem-Solving Amid Institutional Constraints and Opportunities explores how special education instructional and organizational factors influence special education administrators’ ability to problem solve.
